Bohemia Manor Wrestling Tournament

The National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) Wrestling Rules Committee approved an upward shift of weight classes effective with the 2011/2012 season.  The 14 weight classes approved by the committee are as follows:  106, 113, 120, 126, 132, 138, 145, 152, 160, 170, 182, 195, 220, and 285.

Hello all, I would like to take this opportunity to let everyone know that you can pre-register for the 2011 Junior Olympic Team Delaware trip at the link listed below. This is open to any wrestler entering 7^th grade up to seniors in high school.

This year we are looking to field 2 competitive teams as usual to travel to New Orleans LA and take on the country's best in Freestyle dual meet format. Each team/ wrestler will get 15-17 matches over the week.

Delaware has placed 3rd (2x) and 2nd in our last trip and our combined record over the last 3 trips is 40-5. We look forward to putting a team together and training them to the best of our ability to win it all this year.

There is no pre-qualification tournament, just fill out the form in the link so we know who is interested.

Practice sites and times are being discussed as we speak and once we have a final head count, we will post exact days, locations and times for practices.

There will be at least 2 practice sites leading up to wrestle off's, one down state and one up state to accommodate all wrestlers interested. You will be asked to make 2 practices a week at any location we have.
Once we have both teams set, we will have mandatory TEAM practices to prepare for the tournament. This site will be determined at a later date to make travel as easy as possible for all involved.

Our practices are freestyle specific and open to anyone in the state, regardless if you wrestle off for a spot free of charge.

There is no upfront fee and no requirement to join any club. Once you make a team there is a cost of "roughly" $500.00, DWA picks up the balance.
$500.00 will give each wrestler- 2 singlet’s, 5 t-shirts, 2 shorts, 1 jacket, 1 bag and all travel and lodging expenses, Oh and 15-17 matches...
