1979 Bucks

The 1979 Bucks went 10-1 and were Inland Conference Champs under Head Coach Ken Woodruff. Assistant Coaches Andy Burnett, Dick James, Joe Widman, Ron Saylor, Jack Nutter, Tom Majors, Karl Duerr, Ed Everhart and Terry Reynolds. The Bucks scored 353 points, while giving up a mere 68.

QB Ken Engel was 31 of 66 for 625 yards with 5 TD's and 3 INT's. Jim Wolke was the leading receiver with 11 recptions for 273 yards and 2 TD's. Ron Brant led all rushers with 1,698 yards on 234 attempts, with 26 TD's and 158 points scored. Alan Mann was the leading tackler with 124 tackles. Joe Walker was the Golden Buck Award winner and Ron Brant was the Most Valuable Player.

The 1980 Bucks went 8-2 on the season under Head Coach Ken Woodruff. Assistant Coaches Dick James, Joe Widman, and Ron Saylor. The Bucks scored 284 points, while giving up a miserly 48. QB Jim Wolke was 46 of 96 for 654 yards with 6 TD's and 8 INT's. Jay Gumm was the leading receiver with 10 recptions for 204 yards and 2 TD's.

Scott Striker led all rushers with 985 yards on 156 attempts, with 12 TD's and 78 points scored. Doug Peyton was the leading tackler with 128 tackles, which at the time was an Individual Season Record. Peyton was also the Golden Buck Award winner.
This team set 14 School Records in this season for either Team or Individual.

The 1981 Bucks went 4-6 on the season under Head Coach Ken Woodruff. Assistant Coaches Joe Widman, Scott Crislip, Bill McGrain, Mark Crumley, Terry Reynolds, Andy Burnett, and Darryl Chidsey. The Bucks scored 182 points, while giving up 121.

QB Bob Strickland was 47 of 120 for 651 yards with 7 TD's and 8 INT's. Jim Stahl was the leading receiver with 7 recptions for 232 yards and 4 TD's.

Gary Peyton led all rushers with 1,043 yards on 140 attempts, with 11 TD's and 66 points scored. Mike Casteel was the leading tackler with 136 tackles, which at the time was an Individual Season Record and broke Doug Peyton's record from the previous season. Casteel was named the Golden Buck Award winner.

The 1982 Bucks went 8-2 on the season under Head Coach Ken Woodruff. Assistant Coaches Joe Widman, Andy Burnett, and Scott Crislip. The Bucks scored 246 points, while giving up 118. QB Charlie Hawley was 34 of 82 for 464 yards with 4 TD's and 4 INT's. Steve Meyer was the leading receiver with 7 recptions for 155 yards and 1 TD.

Gary Peyton led all rushers with 1,060 yards on 143 attempts, with 10 TD's and 64 points scored. Bill Zacharias was the leading tackler with 125 tackles. Peyton was the Most Valuable Player while Zacharias was named the Golden Buck Award winner.

QB Scott DeMarco was 61 of 130 for 853 yards with 11 TD's and 8 INT's. Charlie Hawley was the leading receiver with 24 recptions for 350 yards and 5 TD's. Charlie Hawley led all rushers with 911 yards on 159 attempts, with 8 TD's and 78 points scored. Dan Rigard was the leading tackler with 132 tackles. Scott DeMarco was the Most Valuable Player and Tom Wolke was the Golden Buck Award winner.
