Dear Soccer Players and Family,
I humbly say thank you, one and all for the outstanding support of our Air Show fundraiser. We had a wonderful turnout and everyone worked so well together. My Air Show contacts were so happy with our work and want us to return next year.
Let me give a special "THANK YOU" to Brian Twarek, Cameron Randolph, Travis Campbell and Drew O'Donnel who worked every available shift offered to the players. They were there all the time.....awesome job.
Also though, I must talk about some other impressive accomplishments:
- We worked 229 five hour shifts this past week
- We had over 85% participation from our families
- The average family worked 7 shifts (we asked for five)
- Over 40% of our players worked at least 3 of the 5 days available
- We should NET close to $5,000 profit for the week
I also want to invite the following 10 players to the Dayton Dragons game this Saturday as recognition for working (along with family and friends) the most shifts:
Brian Twarek, Alex Kline, David Schmolinsky, Nathan Wright, Cameron Randolph, Brian Van Arsdale, Brian Lakes, Nick Schwartz, Drew O'Donnel and Kevyn Bange.
You ten players will be the guests of the coaching staff this coming Saturday as we provide a luxury suite for you pleasure and an evening filled with baseball, food and recognition.
Again, a huge thank you to everyone who gave of their time this weekend to make this such a special day.

Additional Instructions:
- Be available to setup the table and chairs (located in the concession stand) ½ hour before game time (5:00 PM for JV games, approx 6:30 – 6:45 to take over for Varsity games).
- Money box will be delivered by the Athletic Director or a designee.
- We will be selling game tickets, split the pot tickets and also programs (which have split the pot coupons inside).

Money box is then delivered back to the Athletic Director near the end of the varsity game and the table and chairs returned to the concession stand. Ticket prices and additional instructions will be available at setup time.

CALLING ALL VIKINGS SOCCER ALUMNI: We are in the planning stages of this year's Alumni Day on Saturday, August 23, 2008. This year we hope to have enough Alumni interested to have an Alumni game around 2:30pm in the afternoon then we hope all will stay when the current Vikings teams play the Greenville Wave in the evening. Between games, we will introduce all of our alumni present and during half-time of the Varsity match, we will recognize a collection of Viking All-Stars.....the Team of the 80's. This team was voted on by former coaches from the 80's to recognize the best players who contributed during the decade.

We had 15 alumni attend last year's event. We gave them each a MHS Soccer t-shirt and they were introduced at center field during the halftime of the Varsity game. For more information on future Alumni events contact Jerry Randolph at jerry-randolph@sbcglobal.net.
SoccerFest will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2007 when the Vikings play against their neighborhood rivals the West Carrollton Pirates. Activities will start at 3:00 and be continuous all day with games at 3:00 (Boys JV), 5:00 (Girls Varsity) and 7:00 (Boys Varsity). Depending on the dates, 2-3 boys are requested to attend the city council and school board meetings to invite the members to SoccerFest. Boys will also pass out invitations to the recreational soccer players again this year. To volunteer for a time below email Kim Hayden at khayden1@woh.rr.com.
