WEEK 3.....LET'S MOVE FORWARD

Posted by Jeffrey Thompson at Sep 3, 2007 5:00PM PDT ( 0 Comments )

Dear Soccer Players (and family):

I hope that everyone had an enjoyable and safe holiday weekend.  Now is the time to settle in and enjoy fall, the school year and the rest of our season.  Still looking for our first victory is a surprise, but far from the end of the world.  We have played some very good soccer, some average soccer and a little below average.  Once again, as in years gone by, we are looking for that "great win" to get us over the hump.

Our first match this week.....could be that win.   Butler has been playing very well and are currently ranked #8 in the area.  A great time for us to play our best soccer and come home with a victory.

Our second match on Saturday is SoccerFest versus our neighborhood rival, West Carrollton Pirates.  As always, this will be a tough foe as we fight for local bragging rights and the Gary Kimmel trophy.  Our Soccer Boosters have done an outstanding job working to make this a special day for the community and for bringing fans to the game.

Our practice yesterday was a great start to the week as everyone worked hard and put forth a strong effort.  Have a great week in school.  Work just as hard, if not harder, on your grades.  Be the best student you can be impressing your teachers with your positive attitude and supportive behavior.

For Soccer,

Coach Ric
