Carlisle - Krueger Classic, 2010, 78th tournament year
In Game 1 Clear Lake defeated Texas City 69-41.
In Game 2 Clear Lake faced Elkins and was defeated 65-63 in a hard fought, close ball game. By the way, Clear Lake played the eventual tournament champions the closest game of any of Elkins' opponents.The game was tied 6 times and the lead changed 9 times. The outcome of the game was not determined until a Lake shot fell short with less than 3 seconds remaining.
In the third round Clear Lake defeated Houston Sterling 73-60.
In the game for 5th place on Saturday Clear Lake was defeated (77-63) by LaMarque, one of the top ranked 4A teams in the state.
In the Championship game Elkins defeated Clear Springs 65-54. Elkins never trailed in the game.

Deer Park 66 - Clear Lake 61
Continuing his performance from last weekend's Carlisle - Krueger CCISD Classic where he scored 36 to take the Consolation trophy from Pasadena Memorial, Deer Park's Thomas Walkup (bound for Stephen F. Austin State University) went 15 of 18 from the free throw line and scored 41 points (25 in the first half) on Clear Lake. Walkup bested his season average of 24 points and went 11 of 11 from the charity stripe in the first 3 quarters before going 4 of 7 from the line in the final period.
There were 3 technical fouls in the game after Deer Park nose guard, #34 Ray Cazares,(Sr. 6'5"), took down Paris Clayton in a backcourt screen with a double arm bar to the throat.
The game was tied 9 times in the first half with several lead changes. In the second half, Deer Park took an early lead and widened the gap to 10 briefly before Lake cut it to 3 late in the game when Rob Lewis made a basket and a free throw.
