After an impressive semifinal win Saturday afternoon over a very good Westgate team (76-60), Clear Lake advanced to the 8 pm championship game with Northshore. The Mustangs, ranked #6 in the Greater Houston area, proved to be formidable opponents but the Falcons were victorious 67-66 in a very close game with a last second shot by Paris Clayton.
All Tournament selections from Clear Lake were Paris Clayton and Alden Miles. Tournament MVP was Lake's Rob Lewis who poured in 32 points in the championship game.
Fans who missed these two outstanding basketball games will regret it but expect to see more like these from a truly impressive Lake team.
This is the first no-loss tournament championship for Clear Lake in over 12 years.
