As of November 2, 2005: The building will be located directly across the street (Krueger Way) from the 9th Grade Center. The facility will be named Bill Krueger Field House after Clear Lake High School's legendary coach who retired as the winningest high school basketball coach in the nation in 1996. Construction is underway and on schedule with completion targeted for March 2006. Planned capacity for the gym is 2800. The building will house a 2500 sq ft weight room, 1250 sq ft. training room, seperate locker rooms and coaches' offices for girls basketball and volleyball, as well as boys basketball and baseball. The lobby will have public restrooms, a concession stand, and a ticket booth. The facility will also create additional space for the school's football, soccer, and swimming teams. The building will finally provide much needed facilities for the students and a place for school-wide activities such as pep rallies since the current gym's capacity is 1500 and the school's enrollment is approximately 3000.
