A close ball game that could have gone either way. Clear Lake was shooting well from outside while Brazoswood's inside game was not well contested by Lake. The game was tied 11 times and, with Lake holding a narrow lead,  was not decided until the last few seconds

It was never a close game. Lake led the entire game often by more than 20. Jacob Horton killed 'em from outside.

With their new coach, former Texas Tech player Will Flemons, Brazoswood has the best basketball team they have fielded in over two decades. Although my memory is not as good as it once was, I cannot remember Brazoswood ever beating Clear Lake in basketball, at least until tonight.

There were five lead changes in the first quarter. A Buccs buzzer beater trey at the half, perhaps a bad omen, put Brazoswood up by 2. The game was tied in the second and third quarters but Clear Lake never regained the lead in the second half.

Lake was out rebounded by 13 rebounds and Brazoswood scored 8 more points off free throws. Lake shot a meager 27.3% from three point range. Blake Gregorcyk shot the ball one time in the entire game. Brick Pomeroy shot the ball twice in the first half and twice in the second half since shots while fouled do not count as shots taken. Lake continued to rely heavily on their young guards who continue to impress. Weak defense in the paint and Clear Lake's reliance on outside shooting rather than an inside game continues to plague the Falcons. Our current win ratio is 62.5%.
