Paperwork, Money Collection and Equipment Hand-out! Saturday – July 31st, 2004 * 2:00pm - 6:00pm ... At Stonewall Jackson Middle School, 6100 Stonewall Jackson Road It's TIME! All paperwork needs to turned on before the first practice on August 2nd. All registration fees need collected also. Registration Fees: Football $165.00 Cheer $115.00 + Uniform and/or shoes costs Equipment Fitting is highly important for proper safety for tackle football. Paperwork required to start practice on August 2nd is also due on this date. Any payments still owing are due on this date. This season is close to beginning, so see everyone there on Sat. July 31st!! Sponsorship Program, - any sponsorship you bring in, you will receive 10% of the sponsorship donation off your registration! · Tiny Mites: New for 2004 Season. Some details about this new division: Age: *5, 6 and 7 year olds Weight: 35 pounds minimum, 75 pounds maximum, no older/lighter Players: Maximum 22, minimum 16 Coaches: One coach from each team is permitted to be on the field with the team. Once the team breaks from huddle, coach must stay back 10 yards from the line of scrimmage. No kick offs, at the start of the game, the ball will be placed on the 30-yard line. No punting. On 4th down, a team has the option of (a) running or passing the ball from scrimmage (b) move the ball back to opponents 30 yard line and start offensive play from there. Game Time and Time Outs: Each half is 22 minutes. Game will consist of two (2) halves. Half time will be 10 minutes. All games will have a running clock except for time outs. Each team is allowed two (2) time outs per half. No score will be displayed on scoreboard. No tiebreakers. No extra point try after touchdown. Ball will be blown dead if fumbled behind the line of scrimmage. However, ball will be live if fumbled beyond the line of scrimmage. Playing Time: All players must play either offense or defense. Each team must have three (3) captains per game. Every player on the team must be given an opportunity to be a captain. Offense: All offensive backs must be lined up behind the offensive line in some type of formation. You will be allowed, however, to split one offensive back no more than five (5) yards outside the tight end. Defense: No defensive player can be placed directly over the center. Player must be three (3) yards off the center. Defensive line must be one (1) yard back from the offensive line. Defense must run 6,4,1 set. No more than six (6) defensive players can rush the ball. No blitzing. image

2004 Spring Flag Football - 1st Season!

Thank you to all the Coaches who volunteered to run the First Annual Azalea Park Panthers Flag Football Spring Season. The consensus is that the season went well and was very helpful for football playing skills and was an overall positive experience. The Coaches were: Paul Jenny, Dominick Cannatella, Steve Dolan, Lee Grove and Mario Martinez. Southeast Region Scholastic Team Rank Award, 5th Place with a 91.86 Team GPA – Jr. Midget Football!! Congratulations all you players on the 2003 Jr. Midget Football Team. This award means you have the 5th Best Jr. Midget Team Grade Point Average out of all of the Southeast Region Teams (Mid-Florida alone has 35 Jr. Midget teams).

Congratulations to Nikki Anne Reis for being chosen for a $500 Scholarship at the 2003 National Scholastic Banquet held on May 29th at the Coronado Springs Hotel at Disney. She also was chosen for a $500 Scholarship at the Southeast Region Scholastic Banquet held on April 3rd, 2004. This is the first time the Southeast Region has awarded scholarships and Nikki was 1 of only 10 receiving a scholarship. Lastly, Nikki was chosen for a $500 Scholarship at the 2003 Mid-Florida Conference Scholastic Banquet held on February 28, 2004. Again, she was 1 of only 10 receiving a scholarship. Good job Nikki!
