Eventhough the Lightning are 16U they were more than up for the challenge by winning the OCAC / NSA 18U League. Nice work ladies!!!!!

The River City Lightning went undefeated in claiming the championship of the 2005 May USSSA World Series Qualifying Tournament held May 14-15 at Wapelhorst Park in St. Charles, MO. The Lightning posted a 4-0 record and have qualified for the USSSA National Tournament.

The Lightning finished 9th at the American Athletic Association National Tournament in Orlando, FL. The tournament was played from July 11-18.

Playing in the A division at 16 & Under, the River City Lightning finished third in the 2004 NSA Missouri State Tournament held June 19 & 20.
Lightning Post 3-2 Record At 2003 NSA World Series

It's been said the luck of the draw means everything in competitive softball. Such was the case at this years NSA World Series. The Lightning's first game was against the Pitt County Rockets. The Rockets are the defending USSSA National Champions and the current NSA NC State Champions at the 16U level. The game ended in the favor of the Rockets who went on to finsih second in the tournament. The Lightning did re-group and went on to post a 3-2 record in bracket play. Nice work ladies!
