Hello fellow Sentinels and Sentinel Fans. The season is rapidly approaching and the boys are working hard at bringing everything together. The following is an update of upcoming events throughout June and July. -WED + THUR- June 18 + 19: Full Pads practice, regardless of the weather. We still have a lot of work to do. Also bring your sofball equipment for a quick crash course practice time and weather permitting. -SAT- June 21: Woonsocket Sentinels Off + Def vs. Woonsocket Fire and Police in a charity softball event for the ages where 100% of the proceeds will benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Woonsocket. Cost is $5.00. All players to arrive at the field before 6:00 PM for Uniforms and Lineups. Address: 420 Social St. Woonsocket, RI 02895 (Please refer to MapQuest.com or MapBlaster.com for directons) -SUN- *Note Day Change* June 29: 5:00 PM Preseason Scrimmage vs the Tri Boro Rhinos at Barry Field (Game Field). Fans are more than welcome to attend and check out your 2003 Sentinels. All Sentinels please arrive before 3:00 PM that afternoon. -MON- July 7th: The Second Annual Sentinels Golf Tournament. The Deadline has been pushed back and we are still accepting Foursomes or singles for the event. Please contact Ruben Costa via email or phone if you are interested. We are getting ready to roll for real now! The following is a list of upcoming events that players are required to attend. The 2003 Calender has also been updated to reflect the information. It's almost "Go Time" fellas, time to seperate the players from the fakers! TEAM MEETING THURSDAY MAY 22 Due to scheduling conflicts, we must postpone the kickoff party for now. We will still be having the final organizational team meeting on THURSDAY, MAY 22 at the Italian Workman's Club at 7:00 PM. This is a mandatory meeting for all players under contract or anyone wishing to be a part of the 2003 roster. We will be addressing practice set up, preseason scrimmages and the coaches expectations. Also, ALL outstanding player dues will be collected, ANY REMAINING JERSEY # REQUESTS WILL BE TAKEN. This is important due to the time it takes for lettering. Also, any other general "off field" issues will be addressed. WED June 4th- 7:00 PM Italian Workman's Club Mandatory Player Meeting- this will be the beginning of our practice sessions. We will begin with an X's and O's meeting on June 4th. The Coaching Staff expects everyone to attend this meeting whereas they will be detailing Offensive and Defensive schemes that we will implement. It will be the foundation for everything we will run this season. As Coach Tim requested, everyone bring a NOTEBOOK and PEN! THURS June 5th 7:00 PM Dunn Park First Mandatory Team Practice- Practices from here on out are considered Mandatory on Wednesdays and Thursdays until further notice at 7:00 PM at Dunn Park.

Hey Sentinels! We are only 2 weeks away from the start of the 2003 Campaign. Its time to get everyone together as a team. So all wishing to be part of the 2003 Roster are required to attend the final preseason meeting on Thursday May 22 at 7:00 at the IWC. If you cannot attend, please contact the team via email or call Ruben. Pizza will again be provided so bring your appetite. We will be addressing practice set up, preseason scrimmages and the coaches expectations. Also, ALL outstanding player dues will be collected, ANY REMAINING JERSEY # REQUESTS WILL BE TAKEN. This is important due to the time it takes for lettering. And pants will be taken care of too. Also, any other general "off field" issues will be addressed. !!REMINDER!!- in order to try and alleviate any sort of immediate financial burden, jerseys, pants and player dues can be purchased with any major credit card. Let's get all of this stuff taken care of so we can concentrate on playing some ball! See everyone there... or at the next workout.

To all players who plan to hack it up at the Sentinels Annual Golf Tournament to benefit the Woonsocket Boys & Girls Club, individuals and foursomes are now being accepted. Please contact Ruben asap due to head counts and deadlines that need to be met. The public is also more than welcome to come and tee it up, so any of the Sentinel faithful or anyone else that would like to partake in a day of fun to benefit the youth of Woonsocket and the Woonsocket Sentinels Football Club, get your clubs ready and shoot an email with your name and phone number to woonsocketsentinels@hotmail.com.
