The Sentinels have just been named the 2004 "AA" Organization of the Year. The AA Division comprises of 10 teams which is the largest of the 3 divisions. The "AA" has some of the best run organizations making the award a true honor. This award adds to the Sentinels list of accolades for it's hard work and dedication to promote semi-pro football and also using the team's resources to better the community. Other more recent awards were received by QB- Roy Dickerson as he was named the "AA" All-Star Player of the game. Also, Coach Costa received a Mayor's key to the City of Woonsocket and accomodation from the State of RI for his hard work with the team and its community. The Sentinels are entering their 6th season in the NEFL and continue to pursue a Championship Title!!! They are always making positive strides to better their chances of victory. Look for more positive things to happen to the Red, White, And Blue...

Ist "05 Team Meeting a Success!

Posted by Ruben Costa at Feb 16, 2005 4:00PM PST ( 0 Comments )
The Sentinels held their 1st meeting of the '05 Season at the Hide-Away Pub, 43 Carter Ave., Blackstone, MA. A majority of last year's veterans and many of the new recruits enjoyed the new meeting location of the Sentinels. The new atmosphere proved to be more productive for team building and hammering down some X's and O's. Coach Costa showcased a few of the new off season tools that will better serve the team in their effort to win the "AA" championship. A new projector was used to show the 2004 "AA" All-Star Game as well as the movie "The Replacements". The use of the the room's several pool tables also created some early competition for the players and the cheerleaders. The team recapped last year's accomplishments and achievements. They were reminded of their on-field and off-field presence and how effective their hard work proved to be yet another step to our ultimate goal. They also reminded the members of the key elements for success...Discipline, Unity, Respect, Commitment...The Sents are accepting nothing less. The next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, March 23rd. This is subject to change. Keep yourself posted as to any further postings.
