The Sents are playing like they were meant to all year long! The offense is running like a freight train (81 pnts. in 2 games) and the defense hits the opposition like a Mack truck. The O scored 5 TD's and the D scored on an interception. The D has now scored a TD in the last 2 games. KEEP IT GOING FELLAS! The Sents were the Underdawgs in this game against the W-Cats but the Dawgs made the Worchester felines cough up fur balls. QB Mike Kelley #2, A.K.A. "Doug Flutie" 2 TD's on the ground and 1 in the air. He ran for 100+ yards and threw for over 125 yards. NEFL Offensive Player of the Week! Roy Dickerson #3 1 TD Christian "Knight" Guzman- 2 Rushing TD's 100+ yards Justin "Jesse" James - Interception for a TD Coach Kelley is proud of his offensive squad and really is impressed with the way the players have committed themselves to his style of offense. He is truly speachless by the play of the O led by QB Mike Kelley. head Coach, R. Costa has applauded the offense for their tremendous efforts but as the D-Coordinator, he is truly honored to coach such great defensive athletes. He also recognized Nick Odom as "The Team P.O.W." for his double duty as a cornerback and wide receiver. Nice Job Nick! He also recognized Matt Ramos #6 as the defensive player of the week. 3 sacks, 12 tackles, 5 for a loss, 1 fumble recovery. Coach Mike and Coach Rich also commended the team for their exceptional efforts. On behalf of the Sentinels Organization, we would like to wish everyone a safe and party hard Labor Day Week-End. Enjoy the closing of summer but get ready for boys of "Woonie Land" as they come home on Saturday September 10th to play the Whaling City Clippers at 3pm, Barry Field.

Sentinels 42-Marauders 16

Posted by Ruben Costa at Aug 7, 2005 5:00PM PDT ( 0 Comments )
The Sentinels definately prepared well for this tough opponent and bounced back from 2 consectutive losses. This past Saturday 8/13, The Sentinels travelled to Swanzey, NH to take on the tenacious Modnadnock Marauders(1-2). (With the uniform colors, it looked look like the Throwback Patriots vs. the Raiders. The Pats had revenge...again). The Sentinel offense has truly found themselves and scored almost at will. The punt team was rarely used. The power of the Sents D was truly overwhelming. The Marauders had a tough time gaining ground on the great play of the Sentinel defenders. On the Offensive side of the ball, Christian Guzman #19 racked up nearly 150yds on the ground while QB Mike Kelley #2 had nearly 250yds of airtime. The the Sents will have a week off and then prepare for the 2-1 Worcester Wildcats on Saturday, August 27th. The Year of the Sentinels...Great things happen when you're prepared. We're Prepared!!! image
Sentinels 20-Warriors 19. The Sents really rallied to clinch a victory with only 5 seconds left to win!!! Nice hands Slick Tavarres #16. (more to follow)
