News and Announcements

Welcome to 2006...The front office is now open!!! This year marks our 7th Season as a team and the 5th season here in the Great City of Woonsocket. 2005 proved to be the best season in Team History. With the addition of some new players with tremendous abilities and talented returning veterans, the coaching staff had an incredible amount of talent to get the job done. The Sents from Woonie, made their first trip to the playoffs in the very competitive "AA" Conference. The .500 record did NOT represent the teams true caliber of play. In 2006, the recruiting of key personnel and staffing has already begun and the Sentinels are on the move to continue their success. A lot of hard work continues to make this team one the BEST in the New England Football League and certainly the BEST in Rhode Island! If you're interested in becoming part of this great organization, contact Coach Costa @401-578-6099. E-mail the team at woonsocketsentinels@hotmail.com. Join the experience of being part of history...The Red, White, and Blue is ready to take the Championship. Are you ready for the challenge?image
Christmas is right around the corner and that means its time for our annual Milk Fund Christmas Party at Box Seats. It will be held on Thursday, December 15th beginnig at 8:30pm. It is open to everyone and a donation of $5 is being collected at the door. If you have any questions, please call 401-578-6099!!! On behalf on the entire Sentinel Organization, have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Congrats to the Sentinel Defensive players who were named co-Defensive Player of the Game and over-all MVP's.  The "D" really stepped-up and collectively accounted for  8 sacks, 10 tackles for losses, 20+ tackles,  a Safety, and 2 interceptions of which 1 went for a TD!!! The Four Horsemen, Ramos #6, Pimental #1, Vick #50, and German #13, did an outstanding job representing the team.

With the "D" doing so well, the Offensive players had to step up. Odom #21, had several catches for big gains, Guzman #19, ran over defenders, Heff #51 flattened the oposing linemen, and Lynch #82 couldn't let the "D" score alone so he came up with a huge play and scored a TD!!!  The West beat the East 30-14. The east comprised of the 10-0 So. Shoire Outlaws and the AA Champions, the Seacoast Hawks.

Nice job West!!! Way to play as a TEAM!!!
