Vic and Shane, former Falcons pitchers, combine to give the 'Balts their second win in as many tries in 2002 with a 6-2 victory over The Mullets. Hitting was sporadic with 11 men left on base, but Nick Frisch was on base 4 of 4 times with 3 runs scored.
The CoBALTS show early season character coming from behind to beat a tough Montgomery Inn team 6-5 in the opener. Shannon Morgan starts 2002 as he ended his undefeated season a year ago, with an impressive pitching performance. Clutch hitting throughout the lineup was capped by Tim Klanke's game winning shot in the 6th.

2002 has brought some exciting additions to the CoBALTS. Coming on board are long-time CoBALT nemesis Steve Stigler and Joe Spriggs. Their championship experience may just be the final ingredient to winning a World Series. We also welcome the 6'7" Power Foward/Pitcher, Zach Wieber who looks to strike fear into batters this year.

Barry Martin, one of the top hitters in the league and core member of the CoBALT Family, has decided to retire. We'll hold off the jersey retirement ceremony until Coach gets done trying to sell Barry back part-time...
The Cobalts begin the 2002 Regular Season Campaign Wednesday the 15th at Caldwell Field (only play two games there this year) versus Montgomery Inn at 6:30PM.
Thursday 8:30 at Hille versus the Mullets, then Friday versus Tim's Team at Roselawn #1 at 8:30Pm.
