Posted by Mark Dietz at Apr 27, 2003 5:00PM PDT ( 0 Comments )
The CoBALTS started off the 2003 campaign in impressive fashion with wins over the Columbus Mariners, Columbus Lugnuts, and Dayton Braves by an average margin of +11 runs. The bats were hot throughout the lineup, the pitching was strong, and the defense spectacular for the first three games. While the final game was lost in extra innings to the Braves, the CoBALTS got plenty of work in for the upcoming regular season. NEXT UP: Evansville Outlaws and Dixie Allstars May 10.image

CoBALTS Celebrate 15 Years with New Look

Posted by Mark Dietz at Apr 13, 2003 5:00PM PDT ( 0 Comments )
To celebrate playing 15 years of Semi Pro Baseball as a Team, the CoBALTS have anounced the "new look" designs for 2003. For Wednesday and Friday Night League Games, as well as Tournament Games, the 'Balts will don Vegas Gold, Button-down Mesh, Sleeveless Jerseys over navy sleeves. Also Pro Mesh, Flex Fit Hats with a Navy cap and Vegas Gold bill, and new white pants. In keeping with our 15 year heritage, the traditional Blue Mesh jerseys will be worn on Thursday night league games. Some comments heard in response to this news: "White pants? You mean I'll need to wash them this year?" "Vegas Gold? Can we play craps in the dugout?" "Looking like Notre Dame should help put God on our side." "Is the mesh sheer like the 1996 "Lingerie" jerseys?" "Does Eastbay sell Vegas Gold shoes?" "Do we have to drink Stroh's Beer now since Bud colors clash?" HAPPY 15 YEARS CoBALTS !!!image
