CoBALTS Hold Their Own vs. Professional Team

Posted by Mark Dietz at May 21, 2003 5:00PM PDT ( 0 Comments )
In a "Split-squad" practice game, the CoBALT's Pitching Staff held the Florence Freedom Frontier League Team to only One Earned Run. The game was played at Foundation Field in Hamilton using Wood Bats and some shared players in an effort to allow the Freedom Team to make final roster decisions for their 2003 season. Throwing scoreless innings were Paul Krause, Victor Carreon, and TR O'Brien. With the Freedom's new Head Coach, Tom Browning, the CoBALTS look forward to a late season "regulation game" where the stakes are for real. Until then, we wish the Freedom success in their first year in the Frontier League.imageimageimage
