Dan Reineke, Shannon Morgan, and Tony Aichele combine for another great pitching outing by the Cobalt Staff.
The offense was lead by Timmy Klanke going deep (just a little "sugar" on the trot) and hitting in 4 of the Cobalts runs.
Happy 4th and a safe holiday weekend to All Cobalts and Friends!!! ![image](https://photos-images.active.com/file/1/75/750358/original/732e3f18-7691-4bbc-81fa-2ee77502bfc6.gif)

The bats finally woke up and the Cobalts throw another shut-out. This time against the young Receptions team Wednesday night.
Bo's 4-4 night and Stiggy and Dougy's going LARGE into the woods at Caldwell for bombs lead the way to a 19-0 victory. Shane Schirmer gets the Win and Jason Giust threw the final two innings of the combined 3 hit shut-out. Defense was spotless, highlighted by Todd Hiler's eight assists.
Next up: Cincy Stars (Thurs. 8:30 at Hille, wear Gold)![image](https://photos-images.active.com/file/1/75/750358/original/491ccd31-bf58-458a-abb0-72ec5f21cd3e.gif)

In another wood bat classic, the CoBALTS' swung the bats like "rusty gates" and waisted a 2-hit, 10 strikeout performance by Paully in a 1-0 loss.
Danny Bell threw his own 2-hitter against the CoBALTS and was aided by typical stellar defense from the Stogies including great play from old-timers Andy Puhle (3B) and Eddie Collins (RF) that robbed potential run producing hits.
CoBALTS are now 18-6 on the season.
Next up: Receptions (Weds at Caldwell 6:30, wear Blue)
Cincinnati Stars (Thurs at Hille 8:30, wear Gold)![image](https://photos-images.active.com/file/1/75/750358/original/fa1de30a-ac21-4afb-8ff4-e0aea31ad7d7.gif)

In another Wood Bat thriller, the Cobalts proved to be too deep in the arm department as they pull out a 5-3 extra inning victory over the talented Yorkville (formerly Logan) team.
Paul Krause, Shannon Morgan, and winner Dan Reineke, combined to throw a 7 hitter in nine innings. Aiding the Pitching Squad was excellent defense including a bottom of 7th rifle-shot from center fielder Andrew "Bubba" Deitchel to Joe Spriggs "Monster" at the plate to stop the game winning run from scoring.
Offensively, Mike Harris was 4-5 with 3 stolen bases and Steve "3 Hole" Stigler came up big in the 9th to avoid "his worse night ever" with a 2-out, 2-strike smash to score the winnning runs.
Cobalts move to 17-5 on the season!!! ![image](https://photos-images.active.com/file/1/75/750358/original/d214e430-eab5-4e7c-baf6-ea442dc48988.gif)

CoBALTS Win Again with Money Pitching

Victor Carreon is the latest Cobalt Pitcher to carry the team to victory, throwing a one-hit shutout thru 6 innings. Tony Aichele got the save as the Cobalts blanked the Colerain Reds 2-0 on Wednesday.
Victor proved again to be a money pitcher for the CoBALTS (18-7 lifetime) who fielded a team that had zero (0) starters playing in their regular position and 4 pitchers plus Coach playing defense and hitting in a somewhat "creative" lineup due to absences.
Good news is the Cobalts can still post a "W" going to 16-5 on the season without 8 regular players. Johnny Mulves was heard saying, "who needs them?"
