The Cobalts are ranked 7th in 2004 based on last year's strength of schedule in the CRC, AABC, NABF, and Roy Hobbs World Series. 36 Victories didn't hurt either. Also, the NSPBA has picked the Cobalts as a team to watch in 2004.

Long-time Cobalt Outfielder, Mike "Gilly" gave a few friends a thrill with a tailgating visit over the Holidays. Gilly was only home for 2 weeks but the Cobalt gossip is that he wants to go back to personally interogate Saddam. All the Cobalts pray for Gilly's safe return in 2004 and THANK HIM for protecting our freedoms (including playing ball).

The Hot Stove League has been busy already this Winter with a few significant developments coming to CRC Baseball in 2004: * Wood Bats!!! Say good-bye to the aluminum. Both the AABC and NABF Tournaments will be Wood Only. Therefore, the CRC Regular Season will be entirely Wood! * Cobalts will be Co-hosting the first annual July 4th Tri State Classic. The 3-day Tourney will be an Open Invitational that will feature the top teams in the Midwest at the Roselawn Park (new Riverfront Stadium seating has been installed). More details to come but it's time to get back into the cages and the gym! The Ohio 7th ranked Cobalts look to 2004 as another 30+ Win Season with a little more hardware for the Cobalt Lounge's Trophy Corner. GGGGGetty-upp!
