News and Announcements

The CoBALTS Keith Becker (4-0) threw another complete game Win versus the Hilltoppers Thursday night. The 5-4 victory gave the un-ranked CoBALTS 3 wins over their long-time rival Hilltoppers (24th in USA). Catcher John Rubel got things started with a 2-run BLAST in the 3rd inning and the CoBALTS never looked back (well, maybe a little in the ugly 7th). The 22-8 CoBALTS know that their long-time foes, The Toppers, will be waiting for revenge in both the AABC and NABF Tournaments - always great games! image
The boyz found their bats and Shannon Morgan pitched his 5th Complete Game Win of the season in a nice win over a solid Yorkville squad on Wednesday night. Sean Aichel lead the offense (3-3, 3 RBI) along with two perfect execution of hit-and-runs by Cal Battle. Bo Stineman added 3 hits and Johnny Mederer put-down the 75th sacrifice bunt of his long illustrious Cobalt career. Post-game shinnanigans were lead by Monster Spriggs who has played in all but one Cobalt game in 2004 (So Says THE Giust). CoBALTS now 21-8 with Toppers up tommorrow night! image

Sean Aichel shows that this one does "go to 11" as he strikes out 7 in a row and eleven overall in another great CoBALT Win Wednesday night. The Challenge is a talented Collegiate Team that falls to 10-4 on the season. Their pitchers held the CoBALTS to a whopping 1 hit but it was Sprigg Monster's game-winning RBI double in the 1st inning scoring the speedy Nick Fritsch. Defensively, Cal Battle made another 395 foot blast look like a "cha-cha-chia." And Boo Rachel played a flawless "emergency" shortstop as they helped keep Aichel's shutout intact. CoBALTS are now 18-6. Next up: Cincy Challenge Again: Roselawn 8:30, wear goldimage
