The Cincinnati CoBALTS have sealed a #1 seed in the AABC Tournament and are crowned CRC Regular Season Champs with a 21-4 in_league record and stand 25-8 Overall.
Riding the strength of their deepest pitching staff ever and consistent defensive play, the CoBALTS were able to win the tight games against the toughest competition.
2004 displayed perhaps the strongest CRC competition in over a decade with top level play from local College teams (Midland, Stars, Force, and Challenge) Traditional Powerhouses (Hilltoppers, Stogies, Cheviot, and Montgomery Inn) and Emerging Contenders (Yorkville, Meridians, and Hurricanes).
But 2004 will not be complete for the 'Balts without a significant AABC/NABF Tournament run - A World Series would be nice...

Dougy Overcomes Ruptured Spine - Cobalts Win Over Cheviot

Doug Michelsen's 3-3 night, including a wood bat 401' blast to center, sealed a Cobalt 14-8 victory over the rival Cheviot squad. The win gives the Cobalts 2 of 3 victories versus the Patriots who are always tough, especially with pitcher Aaron Moll on the hill.
Sean Aichele went the distance in a gutty performance that required working out of jams all night - sometimes due to hole-in-glove-itis disease from the Cobalt defense men.
The Cobalts now stand at 25-8 Overall, and their 21-4 CRC League Record gives them their first Regular Season Championship since 1997. ![image](https://photos-images.active.com/file/1/75/750358/original/5f1c7f2a-2eba-49f2-8eb7-1176fffc272c.jpg)

Paully threw another gem for the "Balts as they improve to 24-8 overall and 20-4 in CRC League play with a win over a tough Meridian squad 5-1.
Many contributed to the offensive effort including Captain Bo, Cal Battle, Nicky Fritsch, Jimmy Mullinex, and the 2 base stealing Spriggs Monster (even a swipe of third base).
Next up Cheviot in the CRC Finale at Hille, 6:30 wear blue.![image](https://photos-images.active.com/file/1/75/750358/original/82421299-7f09-4707-bc45-8ec735fc67a4.gif)

The Cincinnati Stars worked the CRC Schedulers hard this pre-season to beef up their competition. So, what happens? They cancel on the team that beats them in previous CRC play: The CoBALTS.
Therefore, No Game this Wednesday.
Take the wives and girlfriends out to dinner instead, because the upcoming AABC and NABF Tournaments will put a bit of strain on the ol' home life.
Next up:
Thursday 8:30 Hille vs. Meridians (wear gold)
Friday 6:30 Hille vs. Cheviot (wear blue)![image](https://photos-images.active.com/file/1/75/750358/original/e3fb8af7-3a2e-4683-8bc8-b62e3050aa16.jpg)

CoBALTS Now 23-8 after Gelding the Mustangs 11-1

Paul Krause and Jeff Dietz combine for the 2 hitter in a route of the Cincinnati Mustangs. The old CoBALT magic must have been working as Scrote recorded 0 BB's and 0 HBP's. Maybe it was having Ol' Captain Bo back behind the dish for the first time in 13 years...
Offensive highlights: Pitchers were on a Hit Parade with Tony Shaffner, Sean Aichel, Paully, and Scrote all driving in runs.
Also of Note: Spriggs Monster played "weather-man" missing his first game and his chance to be the Cobalt Iron Man - THE Giust said, "told ya so!"![image](https://photos-images.active.com/file/1/75/750358/original/3292f7f5-3fb1-4d64-b2bc-45a79cb3a06a.jpg)
