Two More League Wins...Cobalts 20-0
Taking down the Red Sox and the Clermont Zaps in Thursday night League action puts the Cobalts in driver-seat for a Thursday League title and automatic NABF Regional Tourament bid.
At 20-0, the Cobalts are definitely on a roll with solid pitching and bats that have come alive.
Two League games this week against Receptions (8:30pm Thursday) and Hawks (6:30pm Friday @ Hille) will determine Cobalt's status.
Sunday Sweep...Now 18-0
Cobalts waste no time notching two more victories in Sunday League action. On a perfect Sunday for ball in the Natti, the Cobalts drop two 10-run rule bombs on the College Royals.
Cobalts are on a perfect 18-0 run with 2 more weeks of regular season action ahead.
Two Nice Thursday Night League Wins...Cobalts 16-0
Mikey "Crash" Taylor returned to action with a big night at the plate in a huge double-win on Thursday night.
Game 1 vs. Chiefs: Pitcher Tyler Snoke throws a 2-hit, no walks shutout as Cobalts Win 1-0 in a quick 90 minute affair. Mikey Taylor knocked in big bro Tom in the second inning and the rest was all youngster Snoke.
Game 2 vs. Cheviot Patriots: Cobalts need to come back from a 4-0 hole with big hits from again Mikey T and Brian Stocklein to get a 6-4 victory. Rick Rossell was the man on the hill in relief, throwing 4 shutout innings to get the "W"....nice to have Rick healthy again!
Cobalts match their all-time consecutive wins record (16)...Coach Taylor patching together a great season!!!
Cobalts 14-0 after Win Over Yorkville
Cobalts get an 8-3 victory over Thursday night rivals of Yorkville. Wags gets the win. Stocklein goes deep. Nick-o Fritsch recalled to Emergency Cobalt Duty gets 2 RBI as the new 'Balt Skipper is asking himself where the 38 players with uniforms have all gone - and it's only first week of July!
