Wildcats One Win Away From Title
The Kentville Wildcats are one win away from their first NSSBL title since 2000. Kevin Nichols cruised to a victory after the Wildcats put up 7 runs in the first 3 innings.

Wildcats, Sooners once again split the twin bill
In game 3 of the final, Alex Tufts went 9 innings and scattered 4 hits in an 8-3 win for Kentville. Anthony Ianetti pitched seven strong innings for Sydney. Kentville blew the game open scoring twice in the 7th and 4 times in the 8th, highlighted by a bases clearing double by Mike Lockhart.
Game 4 saw the second 1-0 game at Memorial park this playoff. Paul Doucette who lead to Sooners to victory with a complete game, 2 hit shutout, while striking out 9. Shayne Conrad scattered 6 hits over 9 innings for Kentville. Chris Farrow had 3 hits, including a double that scored a run in the top of the 2nd inning. The series is now tied 2-2.

Wildcats Win Game 1, Sooners Win Game 2
The Kentville Wildcats picked up game 1 in Sydney by a score of 11-10. Kevin Nichols was the winning pitcher, Codey Shrider had a 3 run home run and pitched for the save. Curtis Falls hit a solo home run and Mike Lockhart hit a 3 run home run. Paul Doucette was the losing pitcher, Sean Ferguson and Jordan Shepard went deep for the Sooners.
The Sooners won game 2, 6-4.

Kentville threatened in the top of the ninth, trailing 6-4, they loaded the bases with 1 out, with Sooners reliever Anthony Ianetti striking out the last two batters, his third strikeout of the inning, in front of a large Sydney hometown crowd.

First base: Greg West Dartmouth placed fourth in league batting with a .391 batting average. Led the loop in homers with 9; fifth in hits with 45; fourth in runs scored with 27; tied for fourth in doubles with 8; tied for first in RBIs with 36.
Second base: Darson Murphy Truro finished seventh in league with a .370 batting average; tied for second in base hits with 47.
Shortstop: Ian Lockhart Kentville: league’s batting champ with a .435 batting average; tied for second in hits with 47; sixth in RBIs with 24; second in triples with 3.
Third base: Guy Pellerine Truro eighth in league batting with a .360 average; tied for third in doubles with 9.
Designated hitter: Darren Doucette Dartmouth: .294 batting average; second in home runs with 8; fourth in RBIs with 31.
Coach- of –the- year: Mark Haverstock Halifax guided his team to a first-place finish with a 21-11 won and loss record.

Joe MacPherson Truro placed fifth in league batting with a .390 batting average; led the loop in doubles with 13; tied for first place in RBIs with 36 and fourth in hits with 46.
Jordon Shepherd Sydney: had a .327 batting average; placed third in runs scored with 28 and third in stolen bases with 20.
Right-handed pitcher: Paul Doucette Sydney: 5-2 season record; third highest in winning percentage with a .714 mark; led the loop with an ERA of 2.07; seventh best among league leaders with a total of 61 innings pitched.
