Games rescheduled

The Halifax Pelham Canadians have rescheduled a pair of postponed games The May 31 game against the Kentville Wildcats is set for Saturday, June 18 at 3 p.m. The June 7 game against the N.S. Canada Games team has been rescheduled for Sunday, June 19 at 2 p.m. Both games will be played at the Mainland North Common field in Halifax. Changes have been recorded in the "schedule" and "calendar" links on the left-hand side of the page.

Canadians post road victory

The Halifax Pelham Canadians were finally able to begin their schedule tonight, pounding out 17 hits en route to a win over host Kentville Wildcats. At Memorial Park Halifax 100 510 010 – 8 17 1 Kentville 100 000 000 – 1 7 1 Andrew MacIntosh (WP), Chris Munro (7) and Kevin Andrecyk; Corey Kent (LP), John Rideout (4), Curtis Falls (7) and Luke Smith. Halifax – Adam Lucas, four singles, RBI; Rob Hansen, double, three singles, three RBI; Ryan Veinot, double, single, two RBI; Casey Higgins, double, single; Otto Gorveatt, two singles, RBI; Kentville – Mike Lockhart, two singles, RBI.

Canada Games, Halifax fogged out

Tonight's game between host Halifax Pelham Canadians and the Nova Scotia Canada Games team at the Mainland North Common has been postponed because of heavy fog in the area. When a make-up date has been confirmed, it will be posted on this site.

Vallis the hero for Dry

Jamie Vallis got the win in relief and hit the game-winning home run in the top of the ninth inning for the Dartmouth Moosehead Dry in a victory over host Truro Bearcats tonight. Dartmouth announced the retirement of veteran outfielder/infielder Greg West prior to the game. West was a member of the Dry's 1998 and 2004 Canadian championship teams. The Sydney Sooners posted their first NSSBL victory since 2001 today, downing host Kentville Wildcats in the finale of a three-game weekend series.
