Truro takes 2-1 lead

The Truro Bearcats jumped out to a 4-0 lead and hung on to beat host Dartmouth Moosehead Dry 5-3 tonight in Game 3 of their semifinal series. Truro is up 2-1 in the best-of-five series, and can close it out with a win Saturday night in Game 4. The Truro Bearcats squared their best-of-five semifinal series with the Dartmouth Moosehead Dry at 1-1 with an 11-4 victory tonight. Truro-Dartmouth Game 1 result will stand

A two-person appeal committee today turned down the Truro Bearcats protest of Game 1 of their semifinal series with the Dartmouth Moosehead Dry, meaning the result, a 9-8 Dartmouth win, will stand. Truro protested on the basis Dartmouth used an ineligible player. Truro does have the option to appeal the ruling within 24 hours to the league president.

Bearcats file protest

The Truro Bearcats have officially filed a protest with the league over Friday's 9-8 loss to the Dartmouth Moosehead Dry in Game 1 of their semifinal series. The Bearcats contend Dartmouth used an ineligible player. A ruling is expected prior to Game 2 on Tuesday night.

Sooners, Wildcats split

The Kentville Wildcats and Sydney Sooners split a doubleheader today to open their best-of-five semifinal series. Kentville took Game 1, 11-4, with Sydney rebounding for a 6-5 decision in Game 2.
