DRY'S LANGILLE CLEVE'S PLAYER OF THE WEEK
The Dartmouth Moosehead Dry’s right-hander Craig Langille has been selected as the Cleve’s Source for Sports Player of the Week in the NSSBL. The Milwaukee Brewers’ 7th round pick in 2004 won both games he started this past week in helping the Dry move to 12-1 and run their undefeated streak to 12 straight. Langille won his start last Tues. against the Halifax Pelham Molson Canadians throwing 5 innings and giving up just one run on 6 hits. On Sat. he pitched 7 innings in a 14-1 rout of the Sydney Sooners allowing just 4 hits to move to a league best 5-0 record. Taking advantage of a rare opportunity to contribute offensively due to injuries, he went 2 for 2 at the bat and drove in the game-winning run against the Sooners in the11th inning of the Dry’s 8-6 victory in the first game.
Also considered for the honour were pitcher Kevin Nichols of the Kentville Wildcats, the Dry’s 17 year old hurler, Anthony McKinley, the Dry’s Colin Johnson, and the Sooners’ Jason Snow.
