Dartmouth edges Truro

The Dartmouth Moosehead Dry defeated host Truro Bearcats 9-8 tonight at the TAAC Grounds. Darren Doucette belted a pair of home runs for the winners, and Joel Irvine and Chris Sperdakes also went deep for the Dry. Jeff Chisholm homered for Truro, and Billy MacKenzie came within a home run of hitting for the cycle.

Today's games postponed

Today's games between the Dartmouth Moosehead Dry and Halifax Pelham Canadians, and the Kentville Wildcats and the Halifax Pelham Canadians, have been postponed because of poor field conditions at the Mainland Common in Halifax.

When make-up dates for these games are confirmed, they will be posted on this site.

Game rescheduled

The Truro Bearcats and Halifax Pelham Canadians have rescheduled their twice-postponed game at the Mainland Common in Halifax to Tuesday, Aug. 19 at 7:30 p.m.

The change has been made to the "Calendar" and "Schedules" sections of the website.

Bearcats wrap up third, playoff matchups set

The Truro Bearcats scored three times in the bottom of the eighth inning to defeat visiting Kentville Wildcats 5-3 tonight at the TAAC Grounds.

The victory secures third place for Truro, and means Kentville will finish fourth.

The best-of-seven semifinal series are now set, with Truro facing the Halifax Pelham Canadians and Kentville taking on the Dartmouth Moosehead Dry.
