Dartmouth, Halifax post victories
The Dartmouth Moosehead Dry and Halifax Pelham Canadians were winners tonight, Dartmouth defeating the Truro Bearcats 9-3 at the TAAC Grounds in Truro, and Halifax edging the Kentville Wildcats 4-3 at the Mainland Common in Halifax.

Axemen wrap up WBC with win over Bahamas
The Prince George Axemen, with Dartmouth's Jason Bailey and Darren Doucette, and Brandon Hunter and Barrett Bellefontaine from Halifax, defeated the Bahamas 10-2 today to finish in fifth place at the six-team Enbridge Northern Gateway World Baseball Challenge tournament in Prince George, B.C.
Doucette and Bailey split time at first base in the win, both going 0-for-2 at the plate. Doucette had an RBI and Bailey scored a run. Hunter was 0-for-1 and shared centre-field duties. Bellefontaine saw some time at second base, going 0-for-1.
Halifax-Sydney series rescheduled
With rain in the forecast today and tomorrow, the Halifax Pelham Canadians and Sydney Sooners have rescheduled their weekend series to the Aug. 14-15 weekend.
Changes have been made in the "Calendar" and "Schedules" sections of the website.
Germany defeats Prince George at WBC
Germany downed the Prince George Axemen, which include Dartmouth's Jason Bailey and Darren Doucette, and Barrett Bellefontaine and Brandon Hunter of Halifax, 9-4 today in playoff action at the Enbridge Northern Gateway World Baseball Challenge in Prince George, B.C.
Bailey pitched an inning in relief, allowing one unearned run on two hits. Doucette went hitless in five at-bats, and Hunter was 1-for-4.
Prince George faces the Bahamas in a must-win game Saturday at 6 p.m, Atlantic.
