PAUL DOUCETTE NAMED CLEVE'S PLAYER OF THE WEEK (TO JUNE 18)
Doucette took to the mound in the first game of the series and threw a complete game, scattering 9 hits over the nine innings. In the second game, Doucette stroked a single in the bottom of the 9th inning scoring Beau Chiasson with the running run in a 2-1 victory. Then in game 3 with the score tied at 1-1 in the 11th, Doucette hit a ground ball with the bases loaded, teammate Cory Christie beat the throw to the plate, and the Sooners escaped with another 2-1 win.
