Halifax Pelham Molson Canadians’ first baseman Shawn Peverill has been selected as this week’s Cleve’s Source for Sports Player of the Week in the NSSBL. Peverill, enjoying a fine season at the bat, led the Canadians to a 6-5 victory over the Truro Bearcats on Mon. as his team kept the heat on the Dartmouth Moosehead Dry for 1^st place in the loop. Peverill smashed a game-winning 2-run home run in the 7th to ensure the victory.

Other players considered for the award were Peverill’s teammate, Ryan Veinot, and the Dry’s Steve Nelson and Darren Doucette.
