Second baseball Adam Lucas of the Halifax Pelham Molson Canadians has been chosen the Cleve’s Source for Sports Player of the Week in the NSSBL. Lucas, a consistent hitter with the Canadians over many years, had a big week in the team’s 3 consecutive wins. He had a total of 11 hits in 16 at bats (.687), pushing his season average to .400. His biggest game was Sat., Game 1 when he went 5 for 5 with 2 RBIs against the Truro Bearcats, in the second game he stroked his first home run of the season and added 2 singles in driving in 4 runners. In the team’s come- from-behind victory over the Dartmouth Moosehead Dry on Thurs. he had 3 singles. In total he drove in 9 runs while scoring 6 times.
