Halifax answered by sending 11 men to the plate and scoring 5 runs in the 7th inning, featuring a two-run single by Brandon Devlin in an inning that saw Aker hit four Canadians. Sydney responded with four in the 8th inning as Haverstock hit two Sooners setting the stage for a big RBI single from Forrest. Kenny Long got the win by firing 3 scoreless innings of relief. These same two teams square of in a doubleheader starting at 11am on Sunday morning.
