Veteran righthander, Craig Higgins retuned to Halifax with the Truro Bearcats and fired three solid innings as his mates jumped out to an early lead before holding on to edge the Halifax Pelham Molson Canadians 7-6 at the Mainland Common. Guy Pellerine stroked a two-run single in the 3rd and Jeff Chisholm knocked in a pair on the night to spark the Bearcats' offense. Paul Davie drove home two Canadians while Jake Pelham, Steve Murphy, Connor Sullivan and Greg MacKinnon knocked in a runner each. John Chapman earned the win in relief of Higgins who tired in the 4th while Craig Field took the loss for Halifax.
