Bearcats coach steps down

Posted by Jody Jewers at Jun 15, 2004 5:00PM PDT ( 0 Comments )
Collie Hayes is no longer coach of the Truro Bearcats. Hayes stepped down before the team's game Sunday in Sackville. The Port Hawkesbury resident cited personal reasons, and player rep Craig Higgins was quoted in the Truro Daily News as saying the travel commitment was too much for Hayes. Assistant coach Pat MacIntyre, who also lives in Port Hawkesbury, has also resigned. Former Bearcats player Kevin Matheson will coach the team on an interim basis until a permanent replacement is found.
