Dry take opener in extra inning

Host Dartmouth Moosehead Dry opened the league championship series with a 3-2 victory over the Kentville Wildcats in 10 innings. Jason Bailey tossed a complete-game eight-hitter and struck out 14. Darren Doucette doubled home Greg West with none out in the 10th for the winning run. Ian Lockhart homered, doubled and singled for the Wildcats. Kentville on to final

The Kentville Wildcats scored five runs in the seventh inning to beat host Truro Bearcats 6-2 in the seventh and deciding game of their semifinal series tonight. Kentville moves on to play the Dartmouth Moosehead Dry in the final, scheduled to begin Friday at Beazley Field in Dartmouth. The NSSBL champion will represent the province at the 2005 Canadian championship in August in Kamloops, B.C. Wildcats force Game 7

Luke Smith's RBI-single in the bottom of the 11th inning gave the Kentville Wildcats a 6-5 win over the Truro Bearcats in Game 6 of their series tonight in Kentville. The seventh and deciding game is scheduled for Tuesday in Truro at 7:30 p.m. The home team has yet to lose in this series. Truro-Kentville to wait one more day

Game 6 of the Truro-Kentville series is off again at Memorial Park in Kentville because of poor field conditions after heavy rain overnight. They'll try again on Monday at 7:30 p.m., with Game 7 if necessary Tuesday in Truro at 7:30 p.m. Truro leads the series 3-2.

Bearcats, Wildcats rained out

Game 6 of the Kentville Wildcats-Truro Bearcats series was rained out tonight in Kentville. It has been rescheduled for Sunday at 7:30 p.m. in Kentville, with Game 7 if necessary Monday in Truro at 7:30 p.m. Truro leads the best-of-seven series 3-2.
