Dartmouth's Doucette, Bailey to play in 2009 World Baseball Challenge
Dartmouth Moosehead Dry player/coach Darren Doucette and pitcher Jason Bailey have been invited to play for the Prince George Axemen of B.C., the host entry for the six-team 2009 World Baseball Challenge international tournament from July 18-25.

Sooners take two from Bearcats; Halifax clinches second
The Sydney Sooners won a pair of games from the visiting Truro Bearcats this afternoon at Susan McEachern Memorial Field.
Scores were 4-3 in Game 1 and 12-11 in Game 2.
The Bearcats' losses mean the Halifax Pelham Canadians clinch second place and home-field advantage in their semifinal playoff series.

Truro, Sydney postponed
Tonight's game between the Truro Bearcats and the Sydney Sooners at Susan McEachern Memorial Field in Sydney has been postponed because of rain.
The teams have scheduled a doubleheader for Saturday, Aug. 9 at 3 p.m., and a single game Sunday, Aug. 10 at 1 p.m.
Halifax stays hot
The Halifax Pelham Canadians moved a step closer to securing home-field advantage in the first round of the playoffs with a 6-2 road victory over the Kentville Wildcats at Memorial Park tonight. It's Halifax's fifth win in a row.
