The Canadians head to Kentville tomorrow night for the Rawling's Minor Ball Night game, while the Dry host the Truro Bearcats Thurs. for their Rawling's Minor Ball Night game - 7:30 start times

Two players who had incredible weeks for their respective teams will share the Cleve’s Player of the Week Award in the Nova Scotia Senior Baseball League.

Halifax’s rookie Scott Willgress had one of the most productive games ever in the senior league’s 34 year history in a game Thursday against the Truro Bearcats. Willgress had a grand slam home run, a 2-run shot, and a double while driving in 10 runs in his team’s 18-8 win. Originally thought to be a league record, investigation by statistician Burton Russell found that the Sydney Sooner’s Richie Walcott had 13 RBIs in one game in 1990.

Dry centre-fielder Chris Head had a spectacular offensive week. In two games he went 8 for 11 (.727), scored 8 runs, and had 10 stolen bases. In Thursday’s against the Kentville Wildcats he stole 7 bases, believed to be a new standard for the league. Again, Burton Russell is investigating to confirm this feat.

The two will face each other on Tues. when the Dry travel to Mainland Common for a game at 7:30
