The Kentville Wildcats beat the Sydney Sooners in game 2 of the NSSBL semi finals with a 10-0 win in 8 innings. Shayne Conrad pitched 7 innings for the win and Curtis Falls and Rob Sheperd went deep for the Wildcats. Game 3 is next Saturday at 3pm and game 4 will follow at 7pm, if necessary.

The Kentville Wildcats defeated the Sydney Sooners in game 1 of the NSSBL semi-finals. It was a windy afternoon in Sydney which led too a slugfest, with the teams combining for six home runs, the Wildcats won 12-10. Game 2 of the series is Sunday at 1pm at Susan MacEachern Memorial.

The NSSBL regular season came to an end last night with the Dartmouth Moosehead Dry winning a suspended game from August 19th, 5-4 in 10 innings. Then the Wildcats beat the Dry in dramatic fashion with 3 runs in the bottom of the ninth. In other action the Halifax Pelham Canadians outslugged the Truro Bearcats 12-8.

The playoffs begin this weekend with best of five series as the Wildcats travel to Sydney for two games and the Dry and Pelham Canadians get started on Monday night at Beazley field.
