The Dartmouth Moosehead Dry scored 2 runs in the 10th inning of game 4 for force a fifth and deciding game today at 1pm in Sydney. The Sooners won game 3 with a Paul Doucette throwing a 1 hitter as the Sooners won 3-0.

Sooners Win Game 5 and Advance to the Finals
The Sydney Sooners have advanced to the NSSBL finals for the first time since 1993 with a win in game 5 versus the Dartmouth Moosehead Dry.

Wildcats Advance to League Final
The Wildcats are heading back to the League Final, with a 10-8 win in game 4. The Cats win the series 3-1. It was a wild game, Kentville could not put Halifax away. Joey Cavadini picked up the win, Johnny Chapman pitched 3 1/3 to earn the save.
Billy MacKenzie drove in a pair of runs , and Mike Lockhart knocked in 5 included a bases clearing double in the bottom of the 8th to put the Cats up by 4. Halifax scored twice in the 9th and had the go ahead run at the plate. The Cats hung on, and will face the winner of Dartmouth and Sydney. Their series resumes on Saturday afternoon in Sydney.

Wildcats Double up Pelham Canadians
Veteran lefthander, Kevin Nichols threw a complete game and Billy MacKenzie and Kevin Matheson drove in a pair of runs each leading the Kentville Wildcats to a 6-3 win over the Halifax Pelham Molson Canadians Wednesday night at Mainland Common. Paul Davie had two singles and 2 RBI while Ryan Veinot, Adam Lucas and Shawn Peverill all singled twice for the Canadians. Kentville leads the semi-final series 2-1 with game 4 slated for Thursday evening at Memorial Park in Kentville at 7:30.
