Sooners Win Game 1 at Nationals
Cam Marling went 6 strong innings as the Sooners won game one of the Nationals in Chatham over NFLD. Josh Forrest drive in two runs and Matt Denney and Jordan Shepperd scored two runs each to go with two hits each. They are in action again tomorrow morning at 10am versus BC followed by 7pm versus the host Chatham Ironmen.

The Dartmouth Moosehead Dry got out of the gate quickly putting up six runs and sending eleven men to the plate in the 1st inning en route to a 10-5 win in Halifax on a balmy night at the Mainland Common. Chris Head led the way with four singles while Dan Comeau doubled and singled knocking in a pair. Chris Gallivan also knocked in two with two singles and Billy Hartley singled twice as well. Pat Gilbert tripled and singled twice, Jake Pelham drove in two runs with a single and sacrifice fly while Steve Murphy drove in two with a pair of sacrifice flies. Shawn Walsh and Josh Pelham each singled twice. Righthander, Jeff Reeves was solid in working eight innings for the win while Mark Haverstock took the loss.
