Dartmouth to play for medal

The Dartmouth Moosehead Dry clinched a berth in the semifinals today and will play for a medal at the Canadian senior championship in Moncton on Sunday.
Dartmouth beat the Saskatoon Yellow Jackets 7-5 in a morning game to secure first place in its pool. The Dry lost 8-7 to the St. John's Capitals of Newfoundland in what was, for Dartmouth, a meaningless game.
Dartmouth plays Quebec on Sunday at 12:30 p.m. A win puts the Dry in the gold-medal game at 7 p.m. A loss, and Dartmouth battles for bronze at 3:30 p.m.

The Dartmouth Moosehead Dry improved to 2-0 at the Canadian senior baseball championship in Moncton with a 10-6 victory over the host Mets.
Dartmouth can clinch first place in its pool and a berth in Sunday's semifinals with a victory over the Saskatoon Yellow Jackets Saturday morning. The Dry complete the round-robin Saturday afternoon against the St. John's Capitals of Newfoundland.

Joel Irvine and Greg West belted two-run homers to lead the Dartmouth Moosehead Dry to a 7-2 win over the Etobicoke Rangers of Ontario in Day 1 action at the Canadian senior championship in Moncton.
Dartmouth faces tournament host Moncton Mets on Friday at 2 p.m.
