Dear Families and Friends,

I am writing to inform you of a great opportunity for the benefit of our children and the Forest Hills Youth Activities Association. Our Association will sponsor a unique fund raising event open to all those who wish to participate and help our league raise money for our children.

On Saturday, February 27th, Stanley & Son Jewelers, a name familiar to many of us, will host a “Gold Party”…turning your old unwanted gold, in any condition, into cash for you with a portion of the proceeds donated directly to the Association. The more gold that’s sold, the greater the benefit to the children of our community.

There’s no selling or solicitations…just bring in your old gold and platinum…no matter how much or how little…receive an offer and if it is acceptable to you, you’ll receive cash on the spot. What a great way to make a little (or a lot) of extra cash for the holidays or a family vacation and help the Association profit as well.

For additional information, see the enclosed flyer and I hope you will join me in participating in this great event for our children. And don’t forget to invite your family and friends! With gold at record highs, the timing couldn’t be better!

By this months end we will have our first registration for Softball 2010. The dates will be October 30th at 7pm to 9pm and 31st 9am till noon.

We are planning to divide the gals divisions by age this year NOT by grade.  This is to follow official softball leagues through out the county AND in accordance with official softball rules of Little League.  That said - we are still working on how the divisions will be seperated but would like everyone to come prepared for this possible decision.

The age breakdown according to official softball rules are below.  Therfore every parent must bring a copy of your childs birth certificate for our files.  We will also be measuring for uniforms at registration so therfore unlike previous years please bring your child and or be prepared to give us their sizes at that time.

ALL PLAYERS MUST REGISTER WITH A COPY OF THEIR BIRTH CERTIFICATE FOR OUR FILES - NO EXCEPTIONS !!!
