New York Gothams

The Gothams received the #1 seed for the Fall Playoffs. Eight teams make the playoffs, but the #8 and #9 teams tied, so they have a playoff on Saturday. The winner meets us for a doubleheader on SUNDAY at 8:00AM at 128th & Third. Everyone will meet at the field at 7:10. The playoff is two out of three, so if we win both, we advance.

The Gothams finished the fall season tied for first in the Diamondpros league. The Gothams are now in the playoffs, and have a good chance at taking the title. Congratulations to the Gothams.

The Brooklyn Bonnies forfeited two games to the Gothams. The Diamondpros league says the Gothams will get the two wins. The management is trying to schedule games for the weekend.

The 2000 Fall Season is starting on Sunday September 10th, at 8 AM. The team will play a doubleheader against The Kingsbridge Knights in Brooklyn. The team is meeting at 6:30 AM, at the normal meeting spot. Have A Good Season.

The West Side Little League's 11-12 tournament team won a thriller Monday evening, defeating Castle Hill Little League 4-3 in 8 innings to win the 2000 Fordham Tournament. Mike Pastorino led the way, pitching a complete game and doubling down a run in the sixth to start a two out rally. Paul Lopez knocked in the tying run. In the bottom of the eighth Luke Momo singled in Kenny Rodriguez to win the game. The highlights of the game will be shown on Tuesday on Bronx Channel 12 at 10:30pm. Congratulations, West Side!
