The Gothams tryouts for both teams will start for all players this weekend (12/1). Pitchers and catchers for both teams will meet at 7pm on Friday at P.S.163 (97th and Amsterdam). On Sunday, both teams will work out at I.S.54 (Columbus between 107th and 108th). The 15-16 team will meet at the gym at 8:45am. The 13-14's will meet there at 12:30pm. We will not practice on the weekends of December 22nd or 29th.
First of all, congratulations to all involved with the Gothams organization. The Gothams took the DiamondPros league championship title at the American Legion field in Brooklyn today, sweeping the New York Giants in the 3 game series. There were two great pitching performances, complete game victories, by Ernesto Soriano and Jaremy Rich, Congrats to them. The DiamondPros league consisted of 17 teams vying for the same title, and the Gothams came out on top. Congratulations!!!!!!!!
After three months of baseball, the Gothams have reached their goal, a spot in the league championship game. It has been a great season. The Gothams have shaken off all of the doubters, and prove true to their number one seed. Congrats!
The best-of-three Championship series will be played at the American Legion field on Seaview Avenue in Brooklyn. The first game starts at 10am on Saturday. The Gothams' opponent will be the New York Giants.
The Gothams will play the semifinal round of the playoffs with a doubleheader starting at 9am on Saturday and a rubber game at 9am on Sunday if necessary. The games are all at Msgr. McClancy Memorial High School in Queens. The school is located at 71-06 31st Ave (between 71st and 72nd Sts) in East Elmhurst. The Gothams' opponent is the AAC Clippers. Go Gothams!
The Gothams advanced to the second round of the Diamondpros playoffs with a doubleheader sweep of the Caribe Cubs. The Gothams, seeded first in the league, will play the second round in the upcoming week.
