Chili Peppers

We finally get in the win column. It helps when you face a team that hasn't played a season in girl pitch. The score was tied after 3 innings 11-11 but we said to keep playing but the other team was ready to go home so they forfieted. But one of their runs came when a girl on their team ran out of the baseline(out to outfield grass) and they did not call her out. The following girls got hits:Salenna, Emily, Tessa, Jessica, and Nikki. Way to go girls. Coach Dale.

I sure would have liked to check the girls on the other team driver's license. They had several big and tall girls on that team and kept telling me they were a rec. team that had never played girl pitch before. Yea, Right. They beat us 6-14 and told me they have not been beaten yet. Our pitching was pretty good because we did not walk that many but they were hitting shots all over the field. Their pitcher was good, giving up 1 run in two innings before letting some other girl pitch the last inning. Jessica and Nikki got a hit and Kaycee score 2 runs and stole 2 bases. Tough game girls. We stayed in this game till the end and lost 10-15. They had some girls that could hit and we still have problems swinging at pitches. Tessa got our only hit of the night and it was a great, a homerun to deep left field and Tessa even tripped up at third base but was able to stay on her feet and beat the throw to home. Keep working at it girls. Coach Dale.

This game was not very close. We lost 1-11 and their pitcher was not that great, She just got the ball over(3 walks in 3 innings). Our pitchers walked 16 in 3 innings. Salenna and Carli got their first hits and we played good defense when the pitchers let the other team hit it. Keep trying girls. Coach Dale

This was a better team for us to play because they are a coach pitch team moving up(though they are like an all-star team with girls from several teams on their roster). We came up short and lost 10-11. Our pitching was good, we only walked 6 this game. Our defense still made several errors and we have to run the bases better but we will work at this. Good pitching from Jessica, Marissa, and Haley. We got our first base hits of the year from Emily H. and Nikki. Good game girls. Coach Dale.
