MILFORD MILLPONDS COURSE INFO

Posted by Czar Bloom at Sep 15, 2008 5:00PM PDT ( 0 Comments )

Completed for the 2008 season, the home course site for the MHSCC teams is located at the Milford Millponds Nature Preserve near Williamsville, Abbotts Pond and Blairs Pond. We have been accessing the wooded trail at two locations. The trail itself is ready for running marked with 1/2-mile markers and colored posts.

Location A on the maps: Located on Abbotts Pond Road where large power lines cross, the course start & finish exist here. An improved parking area is in place; vehicles can pull off the road and park in the grassy area. Look for the course signs.

Location B on the maps: Runners may park at the Blairs Pond boat ramp and enter the trail here at about the mile mark and jog to the start/finish area.

Posted by Czar Bloom at Aug 1, 2008 5:00PM PDT ( 0 Comments )
Hey veterans and newbies, Have you been running yet???? If not, it's time to start planning for practice! The first official practice for 2013 will occur at 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 15 at the Milford Millponds Nature Preserve (site of our home course). WE WILL MEET AT THE STARTING ENTRANCE located on Abbotts Pond Road, just about a mile north of the Abbotts Mill Nature Center (7700 Abbotts Pond Road, Greenwood, DE). Try to be in shape for it. :) PLEASE HAVE YOUR PHYSICAL (WITH PROPER DIAA FORM SIGNED AND COMPLETED) COMPLETED BY AUG. 15! Email/call Coach Bloom with any questions. Have fun! Run! Physical appointments can be made at the Wellness Center. Call 424-6120 for a FREE physical at the MHS Wellness Center. This is a great deal. Take up the offer! Also, several local walk-in clinics will do them immediately and relatively inexpensively. All high school athletes must have physicals before participating in any sport. If you have NOT received your physical yet, set one immediately.

Nearly 250 participants came out to support the 9th annual Milford High School Cross Country Boosters Reindeer Stampede 5K Saturday, Nov. 24 at the MHS stadium. CR grads Kyle Luke (16:58) and Elizabeth Paul (19:47) won the overall male and female awards, respectively.
