Savage turned it up a notch last week to make a serious impact on the varsity scoring. He busted out his best home course time by nearly a minute on Wednesday and then followed that with his first stint in the 17s with a 17:56 as the team’s No. 3 runner at Bellevue.

After fighting through sickness during the first half of the season, Clendaniel has gotten back to her speedy self with strong runs as the team’s No. 4 runner last week. After a home course best on Wednesday, she finished with a season-best 22:29 at Bellevue Friday.

Helmick, a four-year veteran, reached a pair of standout milestones last week. First, the team’s frontrunner posted his home course record of 16:55 before surging to a school-record 16:31 at the Joe O’Neill Invitational at Bellevue on a cold, rainy Friday.
