Milford High School Cross Country

 Downes, a rookie, struggled through some sore shins for a stretch early in the season, but she has since rebounded well. Coming off the hills of Brandywine, Downes shaved more than a minute from her best with a 26:07 at Polytech Wednesday and continues to make a push toward varsity.

 Since getting his legs and getting through some preseason soreness, Clendaniel has truly found new inspiration, aiming high both in practice as well as meets. He has raised his level of late and certainly has reaped the benefits, scoring a careeer-best 21:41 Wednesday vs. Polytech.

Carl Richardson and Molly Bliss each finished sixth overall as the boys & girls reached the Top 10 at the University of Delaware Invitational Friday at White Clay Creek State Park. The girls finished 4th of 23 teams, while the boys ended up 8th.

Morgan Fitzgerald-Lorah set a new career-best, while Morgan Parsley ran a season-best. Each Buc runner ran a new course-best.

Carl Richardson (16:56) and Molly Bliss (19:48) won their respective races to help keep the cross country teams undefeated after convincing wins over Polytech and Dover Wednesday. Jeremy Harper raced to a career-best 19:47 to reach the freshmen Bloom Top 10.

For the boys, now 5-0, Taiwan Savage, Steve Eshelman, Mike Doughty, Josh Johnson, Harper and Jesse McCormick closed out the varsity, while Kelsey Cabrera, Alexis Groce, Stefanie Clendaniel, Shai Sefiance, Lydia Cole and Jaimey Rouse made the varsity seven.
