Regional High School Hockey Events

Ø  Your school is invited to apply for participation in 8-16 team showcases of the top High School Programs from across the United States.

Ø  These events will host the best teams locally, regionally and nationally to compete for the Governor’s Cup and Director’s Cups at great Facilities across the United States.

Ø  These events will be open to Schools with USA Hockey Registrations , National Federation Status and Hockey Canada Travel Permits.

Ø  This Invitational Criteria encourage State Champions, Finalists, Semi-Finalists and Multiple State Champions  only limited to a total of four-eight schools from any particular area [State or Region] to ensure that each school participating will face three out-of-state area in the preliminary round of competition.

Ø  The tournament will be played on 2-4 rinks in prime time for these round robin events.

School Team Criteria

High School Programs are defined as representing a Community School District with a Base High School as defined by State  Interscholastic Rules and Regulations [NHFS] in ALL Other School Sports

Ø Varsity – A USA Hockey Registered, National High School Federation Sanctioned or AAU High School Hockey Team

Rules for Teams other than Varsity

Ø VarsitySmall SchoolA USA Hockey Registered, National High School Federation Sanctioned or AAU High School Hockey Team with NO Junior Varsity or with less than 40 Participants from Grade 6 -12 OR less than 25 Participants from Grades 9-12

Ø Junior Varsity - A USA Hockey Registered, National High School Federation Sanctioned or AAU High School Hockey Team from Grades 9-11 (Schools with less than 15 Players may use up to 4 - 12th Graders)

Ø Middle School - A USA Hockey Registered, National High School Federation Sanctioned or AAU High School Hockey Team from Grades 6-8 (Schools with less than 15 Players may use up to 3 - 9th Graders)

Ø Grade School  - A USA Hockey Registered, National High School Federation Sanctioned or AAU High School Hockey Team from Grades 2-5 (Schools with less than 15 Players may use up to 3 - 6th Graders)

Ø Please Note: Co-Op Programs are eligible to participate and must present paperwork to PAHF to meet criteria per Above
