Please call 330-965-7500 with questions.
Dear Hockey players,
As many of you are aware, NPYHA and The Mahoning Valley Phantoms have been working together to create a U16 and U18 Tier 1 program that will cooperate with High School Hockey. This program will allow players to play in showcase tournaments, play High School Hockey, build players body physically, and still allow them to participate in social things most HS boys want to do.
Practice for these teams will start in early August. These teams will play in early showcase tournaments in Boston, Detroit, Cleveland, and possibly Chicago early in season. It is our goal that both U16 & U18 will travel together as much as possible. Once High School schedule starts to kick in, teams will participate in one tournament a month with practices on weekends and a occasional game to allow players to participate with HS during week, have time to lift weights building their bodies, and have an occasional weekend off.
I realize many of you have been waiting for this email or flier for couple weeks now, however, NPYHA/Phantoms were looking into different options to offer the best program we could. One thing never in doubt was whether or not these teams will exist! Registration forms will be out in next few days, I want to make sure players are aware what's going on. Cost for this program will be approximately $1,600 and will cover tournament fees.
Tryout Dates and Times are as follows:
U16: Friday June 2nd Bladerunners/Cranberry 6:00PM
Saturday June 3rd Ice Zone/Youngstown 6:45PM
Sunday June 4th Ice Zone/Youngstown 6:45PM
U18 Tuesday June 6th Bladerunners/Cranberry 8:00PM
Wednesday June 7th Ice Zone/Youngstown 7:00PM
Thursday June 8th Ice Zone/Youngstown 7:00PM
Tryout costs is $75.00 and once team is picked, you'll have one week to send commitment fee. If you know other players who may be interested in this program, please forward this email or have them call me. I don't have email for many Youngstown players and saw couple play at Mid-Ams last week, so please pass this on to them
If you have any questions, please email or call Mike Bagnato at 412-670-8856 or 724-444-4575.
